TruClinic™ is expanding the reach of Telemedicine throughout the Intermountain region.
Salt Lake City, UT May 1, 2013 –TruClinic™ today announced a joint collaboration with the University of Utah Healthcare’s Department of Telemedicine. UUHC has begun 4 pilot projects in Salt Lake City and throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
TruClinic™ is an Internet based software platform that allows patients and physicians to have immediate, live, and clinically meaningful online visits through video, secure messaging, and VOIP.
UUHC has deployed TruClinic™ in support of four of its clinics at the main hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. The first clinics to come online are Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Pediatric Urology, Neurology and Medication Management. The goal is to utilize TruClinic™ to help reduce hospital admissions and to provide care to patient populations throughout Utah and the surrounding areas. In addition, UUHC physicians are using TruClinic™ to provide care to patients who have to travel to rural outpatient clinics.
